I love my clients to be informed prior to their sessions with me! If you don't have all your questions answered please don't hesitate to ask! Please read over these quick FAQ's that I get asked often prior to your session.
Session Fees
Session fees are due prior to your session. Cash, check and all major credit cards accepted. No show clients or last minute cancellations will be charged full price. All sales are final.
Rescheduling & Bad Weather
Living in Montana we just never know if the weather man will be right at any given hour! I stay in touch with my clients prior to their session and watch the weather and will determine if a session needs to be rescheduled. The client and I will determine together if a session needs to be rescheduled due to outdoor weather. Studio sessions must be rescheduled at least 24 hours in advanced.
Do you provide clients with CD's?
Clients will have the opportunity to download their selected images directly from their online gallery to their own personal computer. Clients may purchase their own personalized USB drive as an ala carte item for an additional fee. MAP Studios does not provide CD's of any kind, only USB drives upon purchase or if its included in your collection.
Will I get all digital files with the purchase of my session?
Each session you are offered a select number of proofs to look over at your ordering session. Fully edited high resolution digital files are available to purchase at your ordering session. Digital files are not included with your session fee. Typical professional portraiture investments start at $650.. Wedding collections start at $2800 and include your digital files in an online gallery.
Do you work with pets?
Pets are second nature for me! I grew up with all different kinds of animals, chickens, goats, horses, sheep, dogs, cats, turtles, rabbits! You name it! If your family or high school senior has an animal that they want to include in the shoot, please just let me know in advance! Pets always add a fun factor to the photos!
Do you travel for photoshoots?
I do! And I love to travel! I charge the current state mileage rate per mile if I am traveling more than a 30 mile radius from zip code 59714! If you are out of state, plane ticket plus session fees, hotel accommodations would apply.
How soon will I receive proofs or final images?
Please refer to your MAP Studios Contract for more detailed information. As a busy wedding and boutique photography studio, we do our best to turn images around in a timely manner. However editing is our signature touch so we do take some time. If you need images edited sooner than the contract states, there is a $50 rush fee!
When is the best time of day to schedule my outdoor session?
My preference is to start your session approximately 2-3 hours prior to sunset or 1-2 after sunrise. Although I prefer the evening hours. This time of day insures the most flattering light for my clients. However, I can shoot anytime of day that is best for you and your family. There are some factors that we will have to work around with light if its outside this timeframe, but anything is do able! Lets visit to find the perfect date and time for your session!
Do you have an indoor studio?
Yes, I do! I prefer to shoot outside in natural light but with Montana weather sometimes that is hard to do. Please inquire about my studio prices and packages. Studio sessions do require advance booking and planning! Business headshots & editorial modeling sessions for pageantry and high school seniors is available at the studio!
Do you photograph at clients homes?
Sometimes yes, but I do require a pre-consult at the time of day your thinking to see how much light I have to work with. I absolutely love doing lifestyle sessions with families in their home, especially if they've just had a baby! Lets talk more!
Do I get the copyright release with my digital images that come with my session package?
Mariah Allen Photography gives clients the print release upon request to use at whatever printing service the client chooses. I do not provide any copyright releases to clients. Mariah Allen Photography owns and will hold all copyright on all images. Prints and canvases are only guaranteed for image quality and color if purchased through Mariah Allen Photography directly. Can I purchase the RAW files and edit them myself?
Part of your session includes Mariah Allen & her associates artistic interpritation of your session and our MAP editing style! I've spent lots of time refining my my style to give the perfect finishing look! With that said, I do not allow clients the raw un-processed images to edit on their own. I pride myself on my images look and feel and it goes along with my particular branding I've chosen for my business.
