Almost 19 years ago today (eek, it seemed like yesterday), I competed for the title of Miss Livingston Roundup. At the time I was attending Montana State University-Bozeman and in pursuit of the title of Miss Rodeo Montana. Local pageants are great prep for any state or national title, so getting this one under my belt helped me achieve my goal of representing our state at America. I had also previously held the title of Miss Last Chance Stampede in Helena.

This year, one of my dear friends , Amy Hager (above picture, middle), asked me to come watch her compete in the horsemanship portion of the pageant. So this past Sunday I drove over the hill to Livingston, MT. Livingston is home to the annual 4th of July PRCA rodeos. One of the best PRCA rodeos in Montana! Its happening next week July 2nd, 3rd & 4th! There are lots of festivities, so if you have nothing to do, head over the hill to Livingston! The horsemanship portion of the pageant was held at the beautiful Hart K Ranch in Livingston. It is a horse lovers dream come true! The smell of fresh plowed arena dirt is something I really miss.
