This past June kicked off my 2016 wedding season! It has been such an amazing summer so far with amazing weather, amazing skies & amazing bride & grooms! The venue was amazing and perfect, held at the 1915 Barn in the beautiful south Bozeman area! This barn is so unique, it was converted to a wedding venue/ lodge from its original state of a working dairy barn. If you haven't seen the inside, its spectacular inside and a perfect place for a Montana wedding, retreat or re-union! It was a perfect fit for Kaitlyn & Tanner's wedding day! It fit their western style to a tee! Kaitlyn's dress was amazing in detail and fit her perfect! The details that were brought together to make this wedding perfect, were very well thought out and all who helped did a fabulous job helping Kaitlyn decorate the venue. Bridesmaids are such an integral part of the wedding and these girls supported Kaitlyn & Tanner's dream of a western wedding in full capacity! I loved getting to know each of these sweet girls and how they had come to know Katilyn. From the hair & makeup stylist to these 4 beauties, Kaitlyn's day was amazing from the start. Relaxed & ready....her day was all about going with the flow....she was a beautiful bride inside & out. I've never seen a bride as calm as you Kaitlin....you were in the moment every step of the way. Sibling love....Kaitlyn's sister was one of the bridesmaids and I loved capturing their sweet & silly ways together! These girls had so many fun & creative ideas...I could've photographed them all day, but we had to stick to a schedule! My wonderful friend & fellow photographer, the amazing Michelle Pritchow of Michelle Pritchow Photography in the Tacoma/ Seattle area, flew out to be my second shooter. She was assigned the task of capturing the groomsman, while I focused on Kaitlyn and her girls! We had so much fun working together to capture memories of a lifetime! This tractor made for some great shots with the bridal party on it & overlooking the ceremony site! What a wonderful couple to work with this summer! I loved capturing every minute of your day Kaitlyn & Tanner! Vendor Credits:

Oh I am loving summer, and the sun & the seniors! Shooting these senior sessions right next to my high school in Helena brought back memories! Oh and my favorite time of year was happening too...the Helena Fair, or best known as the Last Chance Stampede Fair & Rodeo! So, a couple seniors (one I've known since she was a wee one) drove from Belgrade to Helena just to shoot with me! It was such a fun evening with these two! Katie is an amazing softball player for the Belgrade High Panthers! She is the catcher & 3rd baseman for the team and has been since her sophomore year! She also played JV volleyball too! This isn't the first time I've had the chance to work with this beauty! I think the first time I photographed her she was maybe 11!? She always brings the laughter & the fun! Katie brought her friend Faith with her, for a fun senior rep session! We had a blast! If you are going to be a 2018 High School Senior in the Bozeman or surrounding areas, please contact me to get an application for my senior rep program! You must be a Junior this school year, graduating in June 2018! Click here to request an application!
Well, it that time of year again! It's almost time for going back to school, which means these junior's, are turning into seniors this fall! I absolutely love working with seniors! They are so fun to get to know and see what their dreams and passion for life is all about!
Introducing Kara from Townsend! We hit it off immediately and she wowed me with her talent! Another portion of her senior session will be on the blog later, but I thought I would start with this one! This one so cases her love for sports & fun! She plays both volleyball & tennis for the Bulldogs in Townsend! She decided to be a senior rep for me, so we did a second session in Helena during the fair! Boy did we have lots of great laughs! She is one of a kind and I feel like I've known her for years...such a sweet and caring soul with a vibrancy for life! Thanks Kara for becoming a senior rep for Mariah Allen Photography in Townsend! Another amazing family up on the blog today! I know I occasionally post about how long I've known people that I end up photographing and this family is one of those long time relationships that are so fun to share & blog about! I've known Kevin & Anna since my college years! We all worked at Montana State University in Bozeman, MT together. Anna and I worked at Family & Graduate Housing at the university, while her & Kevin finished up their bachelor degrees. Its been fun to keep in touch with them since then! They were here on vacation from the Seattle area, so I was ecstatic when they contacted me to capture family portraits for them under the Big Sky! I feel so lucky to have the back drop of Montana to create art work for my clients to display! I could've shared so many more great images from their shoot! The lighting was perfect and the boys had fun skipping rocks and just being in nature. A couple skinned knees didn't stop us from getting lots of smiles! I truly love being a portrait photographer and love being able to see old friends through my photography business! I so enjoyed working with this sweet family and hope to visit them when I am out in the Seattle area next time! I am so blessed that they chose me to capture this time in Montana together!
Out of state clients are always welcome to book sessions with me to capture their vacation in Montana! Montana portraits can be something that is treasured forever in a scrapbook, canvases on your wall, or in a custom album! |
