It's about time for a new blog post! Oh how I wish I had more time to blog, but my littles come first and blogging isn't great for constant brain interruptions (LOL, spills, bumps, accidents, and lots of "mamas I need you!")....so misspellings, misuse of grammar and run-on sentences, I can guarantee will happen here as I wrote this with chaos around me. Working from home is not for the unfocused, LOL! And that is okay, its a season that will only sadly last for a short time. So as I am busy wiping noses and butts, I am thinking of blog posts that never get written. As I was editing this fitness shoot today, I thought I definitely needed to make time to blog this, so my hubby is on kid duty while I work on this Friday night! (Its now Saturday morning and I am still working...eek)....I digress.... I was so excited to be asked to do a Fitness Shoot for a 12-week fitness program that my friends in Helena were doing. No question on it, I was all for it! Fitness has always been a love and passion of mine since early on in high school. Sure I was never a top athlete, or for that matter had muscles or abs, LOL, but I always enjoyed working out and keeping in shape! Being involved with AdvoCare, has fueled my ambitions to stay fit & healthy and get involved with programs like this one! Before you take a sneak peek of these images, take your judging caps off. Because lets face it, as women we judge others heavily and even more so ourselves! These women will be their own worst critics, but this is to give them kudos for stepping out of their comfort zones and not only work their booties off at the gym and fueling their bodies with the proper nutrition, it also took courage to do this shoot! You see these 3 women are all moms....the joy of motherhood is a beautiful thing and what a women's body goes through to carry a child for 9 months is amazing in and of itself. But a mom's body is changed forever....she is then not only in charge of taking care of a new baby, but her own body. Some mom's never find the time to get their bodies back because of life and the commitments of wife, employee, mother, friend, volunteer, cook, housekeeper (you get the 17 hats we wear!) Fitness can seem like a selfish pursuit to women, because we are pulled in so many different directions....but its such a beautiful thing to be able to nourish and pour into the only body God gave us. These ladies beamed with pride and accomplishment the day I met them at their shoot. They showed me snapshots of their before pictures (12 weeks prior) and the changes their body made, because the mindset and goals they set for themselves. Part of their reward was hair & make-up and a professional photoshoot by me! What a privilege to be able to document this awesome moment for them to shine! Each of them owned their time in front of the camera, and it was well deserved! So here they are! Remember to give them some love and kudos, because stepping out to show off there bodies that have bore children is no easy task. They worked hard, they deserve this recognition! Good job ladies! Samantha~Mom of 2Up first is the beautiful Sam.....She is married to Cass and they have two beautiful kiddos! I don't know Sam well, but I had so much fun working with her! Stacy~Mom of 4Next up is Stacy! She is fierce and fun! She is married to Rod and they have 4 boys! Yes, we totally laughed because I have 4 girls! Stacy is also an elementary teacher at a Christian School in Helena. Her husband also serves in the military and the little bit I got to know Stacy on our girls trip to Seattle for an AdvoCare Ladies Alive event, she said that he has served overseas for long stints. You've got to be fierce to take care of 4 boys while your husband serves his country overseas. Stacy rocked her shoot! Kalli~Mom of 4Kalli is a fighter, both bold & beautiful! She is a mom to 4 amazing kids (21, 18, 15 & 12)....wow and look at her! She is married to her husband Kelly, who serves in the National Guard. Kalli, is also an independent distributor with AdvoCare. She is also competing today, in Missoula at the NPC Big Sky Championships Bodybuilding in the bikini division. Make sure you root her on and give her a shout out on Facebook for encouragement! This is her first show! A picture with their coach and mentor Angie!
